Sudrano Yang
Architectural Associate
Sudrano approaches architecture with awareness of how buildings shape and respond to their surroundings. Throughout his academic journey, he treated each project as an opportunity to craft meaningful spaces that enrich not only the lives of their inhabitants but also the broader urban environment, enhancing the experience of those who encounter them in any capacity.
“I believe that good architecture can be provocative. It isn’t always a straightforward exercise in meeting briefs or following rules. Architecture can offer more than what is required. It can raise questions, spark dialogue, and inspire people to view the spaces around them in meaningful ways. Most importantly, architecture should add value.”
Having lived and studied in multiple countries, Sudrano draws from a wide range of cultural influences that shape his design sensibilities. A lifelong interest in handicrafts has nurtured a hands-on understanding of materials, craftsmanship, and detail. This foundation reinforces his belief that architecture should always give more than it can, a principle that continues to guide his professional practice today.
With experience spanning private residential, commercial, and institutional projects, Sudrano blends design intuition with technical rigour to create work that is thoughtful, well-integrated, and deeply attuned to its context and the brief.
