ACO Architects designed One Surin to offer a serene escape that seamlessly blends with the urban environment.
One Surin is a cluster housing project that harmoniously merges the conveniences of urban living with the serenity of nature. Set against the vibrant backdrop of a bustling neighborhood, this innovative development creates a tranquil oasis, complete with lush, tropical landscapes and soothing water features.

The design philosophy focuses on enhancing the human experience by fostering connection and promoting well-being. One Surin provides a peaceful retreat from the urban pace, cultivating community while respecting privacy. The central communal spine serves as a hub for meaningful interactions and a strong sense of belonging. Each home is a personal oasis, ensuring intimacy and offering a restful space to recharge. Thoughtfully planned landscaping balances communal and private areas, with terraced pools, open spaces, and gardens offering opportunities for relaxation and socializing.

Architectural design that seamlessly blends with its urban surroundings.
The architecture of the development is carefully considered to complement its urban surroundings. Through careful selection of materials, textures, and landscaping, the development harmonizes effortlessly with the rest of the neighbourhood. The use of steel and full-height glazing reflects the surrounding modern townhouses. Detailed sunshading fins veiling over each house serve as a thoughtful counterpoint, regulating sunlight and casting an interplay of light, shadow, and texture to create a soft and intimate atmosphere.

Transforming site challenges into
creative design opportunities
The design turns the site’s challenges, such as its irregular shape and elevation changes, into opportunities for innovation. The undulating terrain is expertly terraced into interconnected platforms, giving rise to a cascading water feature that flows through the development, connecting the pools and communal spaces. This striking focal point honors the site’s history as a Crocodile Farm. The landscaping also acts as an acoustic buffer, subtly separating communal and private areas while maintaining a seamless flow throughout the development.
